We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time, Laundry Aide to join our Environmental Services department.  The Laundry Aide will be responsible for processing of personal clothing and the clean work of the general wash.  Sorts, washes, dries and folds linens.  The Laundry Aide will also cover for the Environmental Services/Housekeeping Tech I to include cleaning and disinfecting of resident/patient rooms, public areas, and offices.  Demonstrates an understanding of, and embraces, the mission statement of the Christian Health.

Competencies:

• Folds and hangs personal clothing.
• Counts rag-out linen up to fifty pieces at one time.
• Folds clean linen such as diapers, pads, towels and places on linen carts with the assistance of the small piece folder or manually.
• Sorts personal clothing.
• Cooperates with residents and staff.
• Washes personal clothing, loads and unloads 50 pound machine.
• Loads and unloads dryers up to 125 pounds. 
• Delivers personal clothing, to residents room and place in closet or dresser.
• Iron usage: Feeds sheets through the ironer.
• While in a resident room or resident care area, observes and immediately reports to Charge Nurse any resident needs, resident incidents or clinical equipment in need of adjustment or repair.
• Dries personal clothing in dryer.

Schedule: 7:00am-3:00pm, Monday - Friday and work Every Other Saturday and Sunday.

Qualifications:

• Laundry experience preferred but not required. 
• Must have the ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
