Salary Range: $115,000 - $125,000

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Administrator to work in Longview, Christian Health’s North Jersey’s premier assisted living residence. The Administrator is responsible for maintaining the operation of the Facility by directing, coordinating and supervising all activities of the facility. Ensures quality of care and quality of life for the residents and compliance with State and Federal Regulations and Assisted Living Guidelines and Regulations. Assures the maintenance of the building, grounds and equipment. Maintains financial policies to meet operating costs; prepares and follows the annual budget. Selects and supervises assisted living staff. Maintains good public relations and employee morale; sets the tone and atmosphere of the facility. Demonstrates an understanding of, and embraces, the mission statement of Christian Health.

- Demonstrates an understanding of Assisted Living principles including resident choice, privacy, independence, dignity in all interactions with resident.
- Monitors resident needs; provides direction to staff.
- Meets with personnel daily to discuss ideas/solve problems/review resident care issues.
- Responsible for general operation of facility.
- Ensures development, implementation and enforcement of Resident Rights.
- Works effectively with Human Resources department in the recruitment and selection of departmental personnel.
- Provides Vice President (EVP/COO or EVP/CFO) with regular verbal/written feedback and reports.
- Adheres to budgeted staffing levels.
- Reviews and approves/denies departmental purchase requests as appropriate.
- Effectively schedules and directs work to assure timely completion of projects and events.
- Performs other related duties as deemed necessary and appropriate, as directed.
- Takes reasonable steps to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations and accrediting bodies related to area of responsibility.
- Develops, monitors, reports, and reviews Departmental Performance Improvement indicators in conjunction with PI staff, for appropriateness of study and timely completion.
- Actively serves on various committees as directed.
- Reviews employee schedule and worked hours on a weekly basis, including oversight of usage of benefit time (sick, personal, vacation time). Provides assignment with director to DOHS/Scheduler to ensure PPD staffing levels.
- Attends scheduled/organizational meetings sharing key take aways with team as required.
- Keeps abreast of current federal and state regulations, as well as professional standards, and make recommendations on changes in programming/services and related policies and procedures.
- Effectively manages Human Resources related information systems.
- Ensures incidents, accidents, or unsafe conditions are reported, utilizing Christian Health's reporting software as per policy.
- Participates in professional organizations and groups.
- In absence of Admissions Director, provides coverage including tours, preadmission information, assessment, financial review, admission paperwork and coordination of admission.
- Meets with residents/families to ensure that their needs are being met.
- Ensures timely completion of 45 day new hire questionnaires for new hires. Greets visitors and prospective residents; conducts tours as needed.
- Develops reviews and updates departmental job descriptions on a timely basis.
- Ensures completion of new employee job specific orientation.
- Develops, implements, reviews, and updates written departmental Policies and Procedure on a timely basis, as necessary.
- Is available in person and/or telephone, cell for emergencies 24 hours a day.
- Makes contact with outside agencies as needed.
- Ensures in-service programs are conducted by appropriate professionals for education of staff.
- Completes Departmental Annual Report and score card on a timely basis. Completes employee performance evaluations on a timely basis.
- Assists in preparation for, and participation in various regulatory and accreditation surveys.
- Work with Foundation and Marketing departments to facilitate and support goals.
Schedule: Full-time, 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday - Friday, on-call as required.
Education: Bachelors Degree in related field required. Experience with NJDOH survey process a plus.
Certification: Must be a Certified Assisted Living Administrator (CALA) and/or Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LHNA). Must possess leadership ability. CPR certified within 6-months. If a RN, must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a n RN in the State of New Jersey.
