We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time, Facilities Project Manager to join our Facilities Department. The Facilities Project Manager will oversee projects related to Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM), Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA), and Construction Safety within healthcare or commercial construction environments. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, mitigate risks associated with construction and renovation projects, and coordinate safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and visitors. Demonstrates an understanding of, and embraces, the mission statement of Christian Health.
Competencies:
Project Management & Compliance:
- Plan, execute, and oversee projects related to ILSM, ICRA, and construction safety.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation plans.
- Ensure all safety measures comply with Joint Commission (TJC), NFPA, OSHA, CDC, and authorities having jurisdiction.
- Coordinate with contractors, infection control teams, facility development, plant operations and safety and security to ensure project success.
- Verify Contractor Work Quality.
Interim Life
Safety Measures (ILSM):
- Identify life safety deficiencies and implement necessary interim safety measures.
- Ensure fire safety protocols, emergency egress routes, and hazard mitigation
strategies are maintained during construction. - Conduct training to ensure staff compliance with ILSM protocols.
- Conducts inspections throughout CH campus and off-site properties during construction.
- Management of projects.
Infection
Control Risk Assessment (ICRA):
- Work with Infection Control to perform ICRA evaluations for construction and renovation projects in a healthcare setting.
- Develop and implement infection control strategies, including air containment, HEPA filtration, and negative pressure monitoring, when needed.
- Coordinate with infection prevention teams to ensure compliance with CDC, APIC, and Joint Commission standards, or authorities having jurisdiction.
- Maintain documentation.
- Review all projects for ICRA/ISLM compliance.
- Submit and approve all permits to include hot work, water mitigation. etc.
Construction
Safety:
- Oversee safety programs for active construction projects, ensuring compliance with OSHA and NFPA regulations.
- Conduct safety inspections, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure all workers are trained in PPE use, fall protection, hazardous material handling, and emergency response.
- Maintain documentation of safety incidents and corrective actions.
- Make continuous inspections and documents findings.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 plus years of experience in project management within healthcare, construction safety, or facilities management.
- Previous experience working in healthcare facilities, hospitals, or large-scale construction projects.
Schedule: 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday - Friday.
Education:
- Associates degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Certification in CHC, CSP, PMP is preferred.
