We have an exciting opportunity for a Full-time, Environmental Services Custodian to work at Sienna Village, a vibrant independent-living community designed to meet the needs of active, independent seniors in Wayne, NJ.  Demonstrates an understanding of and embraces the mission statement of CH.

Competencies:

• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the building and property.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks as required.
• Execute heavy cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming floors.
• Clean and maintain the laundry room, ensuring it is tidy and well-stocked with supplies.
• Pick up recyclables and garbage twice a day.
• Scrub, sanitize, and supply restroom facilities.
• Dust furniture, walls, and equipment.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and partitions using appropriate cleansers.
• Clean and polish fixtures and furniture.
• Shampoo or steam-clean carpets and rugs as needed.
• Keep elevators clean.
• Perform minor painting in common areas as required.
• Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, drills, and other minor tools for small repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Mop laundry rooms, sitting areas, and garbage rooms twice a week.

Snow Removal Responsibilities:

• Clear sidewalks, main entrances, and other walkways of snow.
• Remove snow from vehicles when requested by the Superintendent.
• Operate snow removal equipment, including snow blowers, shovels, and other tools during winter months.

Schedule:

• Monday: 1:00pm - 9:00pm
• Tuesday: 1:00pm - 9:00pm
• Wednesday: 8:00am to 4:00pm
• Thursday: 8:00am to 12:00pm
• Friday: 8:00am to 4:00pm
• Saturday: 9:00am to 1:00pm
• Sunday: Off

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications:

• Six (6) months related experience required.

• Valid driver’s license.
• Flexibility to assist with other assignments as needed by the Superintendent.
